BJ Hansen, Vice President, joined McCarthy Capital as an analyst in 2008 and is based at the firm’s headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. His responsibilities include originating and evaluating new investment opportunities, structuring and executing private investments and management oversight of portfolio investments. Prior to joining McCarthy Capital, he worked as an investment banker at George K. Baum Advisors.

Brock Smith is General Counsel and Senior Investment Associate at Invest Nebraska where he lead the investment team for a venture development fund with $20MM contributed capital focused on seed and Series A investments.

Joseph Lassen currently works at The Optimas Group, an Omaha-based family office, advising on investment decisions, strategic direction, and portfolio management within Optimas's venture capital and public equity portfolios. He works closely with each of the management teams in Optimas’s venture portfolio.
