If you’ve been to Aroma’s in Benson on Tuesday afternoon you’ve likely seen a cluster of enthusiastic, motivated, and grinning entrepreneurs. The Startup Collaborative’s weekly fellow meetup takes over the stage from 3-5 pm. Because our acceleration program runs on your timeline and your schedule, most of our fellows have day hustles. We believe that’s the best way to launch a new startup. On the side. Getting Startup Collaborative fellows together on a weekly basis is a key component to our program. We share ideas. We help each other. We commiserate. We trade tactics and lead sourcing strategies. We spend the first couple of hours, from 3-5pm, talking through front-and-center pain points. Roadblocks. Challenges. Then every fellow makes a pledge on what they are going to accomplish in that next hour to address that problem head-on. We take the commitments seriously, and then we execute. Camaraderie AND accountability. Around 5 pm - or whenever all essential tasks are completed - we walk down to St. Andrews and share a pint. We earn the reward. As you can imagine, some pretty fantastical conversations emerge.
