Think you want/need to raise capital? Super complicated question. The first thing to consider, can that capital be used to scale - in other words, grow quickly? If the answer is no, then no - no venture capital for you.
If capital can accelerate your growth, then figure out how much money you need. Not how much you want. Eighteen months of runway is a common request - to get it you have to be prepared to defend that "ask" with conviction.
You'll need to explain how those funds will get your company to the next significant milestone. "X" percent growth in MRR (monthly recurring revenue), "Y" number of new customers. Give a little insight into the tactics you'll employ to hit those numbers.
Remember, It's all about a confident pitch. Be prepared for tough questions.
